Snack and lunch break!
I personally had an experience on how a public high school cafeteria's was. The food was cheap and definitely affordable. All you had to do was to buy the tickets. For only 25$, you get not one but two 8x11.5" colored paper; it has been divided into the number of the weekdays within a month. Two papers: one for snack, contains 35 cents, and one for lunch, containing 2,50$. Sure you do save a lot for 25$ a month in school; but there are consequences. The snack ticket could get you a deliciously dried-up tasteless cookie and small cartoon of milk. You can't get anything else except for those two; unless you add another 10 cents, you'd be able to get a cartoon of chocolate milk instead of the other one, which eventually will make your stomach pretty comfortable for the rest of the day. As for the lunch ticket, you get a meal and a carton of juice instead of milk. The meal would vary each day but it would be the same for the following week; for example, you would have fish fillet on Monday's, then fried chicken on Tuesday's, cool looking vegetables on Wednesday's, chicken nuggets on Thursday's, and not so oily pizza on Friday's. It's exciting because the routine actually changes every month, pizza on Monday's then fish fillet on Tuesday's and so on and so forth. Again, if you want to get a better drink than your thirst quenching juice just add another 75 cents to get a canned drink. Pretty cool isn't?
In addition to the cookie during snack break, this goes on for the rest of your stay in that school. I was thinking that the cookie was actually fed-up seeing me each and every day that god created. I imagine the milk and cookie getting mad at me for taking them and not trying to bring my own snack in school. All in all, this was a very impressive idea and you would actually save tens of dollars every month with this routine; and no worries at all because you and your stomach will eventually get used to it.

Ohhhh! A dull menu, indeed. I imagine you'ver avoided your daily milk and cookie snack since coming to Dawson!
